The Society has been active in the few months: the last event was a seminar on how to prepare a location file to International Film Commission standards. There is also samplings of video on the net. Check it out and see who you recognize!

Our next event is a "Gala Awards Night" at the world famous Sooke Harbour House. If you are a member is good standing, your invitations should be in the mail. It is an evening when we honor those people (members and associates) that have supported the Society though out the year.

The executive has met with Community Futures rep Doug Eddy, and is developing a business plan, similar to the Alberni group. The VIFA study is just about finished, and a proposed buget of about $250,000 is being looked at. (with $80,000 earmarked for locations file updating)
