ENTRY GUIDELINES: Film, Video & New Media 2000

What is this Festival About?
This is an annual festival of innovative short film, video and NEW MEDIA. Priority is given to SCHOOL PROJECTS and innovative independent productions. Screenings will be held in Sooke, British Columbia, situated on Vancouver Island off the west coast of Canada, August 18 to 21.

What is "NEW MEDIA"?
New Media is things like a 'Power Point" presentation. Yeah, I know, you think, "how exciting can that be?" Well, this is what we want to find out. If you are a business marketing student, and you wannna win that contract, you betta get your message across!
New Media can also be: Flash files, Quicktime movies, "mpg"-ed shorts, 3D renderings, "Director" or "Premier" compiled flicks or compressed web files. How will that look when viewed on a large theatre screen? ...lets find out.
This is a venue to stretch the envelope of media technology. It's the first festival, and so there are no pre-conceived mind-sets.

Deadline: August 1, 2000
