The Film, Video and New Media Festival is a non-profit event to showcase
talent, and as such it is recognized that at an early stage in some careers,
money may be hard to come by. For this reason, upon request, we will consider
waiving the entry fee.
In exceptional cases, the honorarium can be extended to cover accommodations in the area during the Festival, and other incidental expenses.

The Sooke Film Society has awarded over $2,500 to youth scholarships to Edward Milne Communty School and Belmont graduates in the 1999 and 2000 school years.
In the
year 2001 Belmont Secondary School students will recieve two $500 scholarships.
