We Oughta be in Pictures...
Your location, pet or prop may end up in the pictures!
The "Film in BC, Canada" website in conjuction with the Sooke
Film Society is running a photo contest that will see locations &
props compiled for a database made available to Canadian and International
production companies and Film Commissions.
These photos will be compiled to International Film Commission standards
for when film, television and commercial productions companies come calling
for location ideas. The contest is to both build up a photographic file
of locations around the area and to get the community involved in the
Society's work.
Everybody will have a spot that they know about but
everybody else doesn’t.
That spot may be up in the Hills, along a stream or river, the sea shore
or even your own home. Anything and everything is needed to build up the
societies photo files, a necessity if Vancouver Island and the areas around
Sooke are to attract some of the $1 billion spent in B.C. on film and
television productions.
In order to enter, you download and print out Instructions and Entry Form request or pick them up at the Film Society office in the Community Futures building at 1080 Otter Point Rd, Sooke.

The photofiles will become the property of
the Sooke Film Society and will be filed in the "Film
in BC, Canada" Database locations library.
Some photofiles may also be copied for the BC Film Commission and the Vancouver Island Film Association’s (VIFA) library. |
