Spring is in the air! The trees along Sooke Road are stating to bloom, and the rains are giving away to sun... Sooke in the spring is a fabulous place. Wild daffodils sprout along the roadside from Victoria through Colwood and Langford all the way to Jordan River. Wild lillies bloom in Metchosin...The Canada geese come back to the Sooke Flats, Matheson Lake has fish 'ajumpin, and the fields are abuzz with bees. The grass turns a "Saint Patrick Green" and the days grow longer. (Yes, this probably means you will have to unpack the old lawnmower, and bring out the garden gloves.)
